Appearance: Lithe, Nikola has a slender body that is full of lean muscle. He is a bit lanky, however, and nearly at six feet, two inches tall, his long limbs sometimes look as though they stretch on forever. Nikola frowns upon slouching and bad posture in general, and as such, his back is always straight. In spite of having the tendency to blend with the crowds and the nearest wall (on purpose, of course), Nikola's manner of walking make him look more confident than he actually is.
With a rather round baby-face, and perpetually rosy cheeks, Kovac appears younger than his actual 24 years of age. The fact that he's orbs are wide, sapphire blue and framed by long lashes isn't helpful either. It is because of this, that he's no stranger to facial hair as he sometimes goes without shaving for a few days.
Clothing is quite simply, but pretty nice, too. Nikola's clothing consists of pale and earthy colored robes, as well as a few black ones here and there. Muggle clothes aren't his favourite, but when forced to wear them, Kovac goes for black trousers, pale shirts, and black loafers. Jeans are a no no, hoodies are dumb, and sneakers aren't really his thing; he does own a pair of one of each, though.
Personlity: The one word that can very easily describe Nikola is quiet. Quiet and someone that prefers to spend his time by his own, and to sit on the sidelines and watch everything going on around him, rather than to get involved in the action. As laid-back as he usually is, Nikola recoils from trouble, drama, females and the females with all the trouble and drama. Unfortunately for him, it tends to follow him and he never really knows how to handle any of it, for unlike his two older brothers, dealing with the opposite sex was never really one of his talents.
Due to his not-so-talkative nature, usually serious and detached expression, upon first meeting him, people tend to think of him as haughty. Which is not true, for even if being haughty is something that characterizes most members of his family, this little trait decided to skip Nikola; it is not part of him.
Now, when it comes to flaws, there are many, as Nikola is clearly not perfect – far from it, really. Too quiet, too reserved, occasionally arrogant, lacks self confidence, jumps into conclusions and is pessimistic to an extreme. And although he doesn’t do much talking, when someone manages to get on his last nerve –which is rare, for patience is something he does have in large quantities – his thoughts slip into words, and just like the rest of his family, the words he sputters tend to be as sharp as a knife.
History: Nikola is the son of Goran Kovac, a pureblood wizard from Croatia, and Siobhan Ethelbert Kovac, a pureblood Irish witch. He was born on January 1st in the City of Canterbury located on Kent, England. He was brought up in a very strict Pureblood family, but does not share those believes or whatsoever, which is obvious, considering he’s got a few friends that happen to be both muggle and muggleborn.
After the dead of his mother when he was only eleven years old, Nikola and his four siblings were left under the care of their father and a house elf named Cerulean. Always more on the quiet side, Nikola was never the one to be in the middle of things, for he mostly kept to himself, locked up in his room when at home. At school, he spent his time studying in the library, lounging in the Hufflepuff Common Room, or taking a stroll down the lake. His calm and mostly easy-going demeanor often led him to be the the victim of his two older brothers' practical jokes (since they'd think him as snob because he was never one to socialize) and the ocassional punching bag of his two younger siblings.
Because of this, and because out of all the Kovac children Nikola was always the insecure and not particularly determined one, his father was completely alright with joining the healing programs at St. Mungo's after having graduated; he was never considered to be the one to manage the family business, and truthfully, Nikola didn't want to either. As it was, it didn't take long for Nikola to realize Healing wasn't his calling, for it included dealing with people on a daily basis. So he dropped out, and promptly worked in one of the family bookstores as shopkeeper for a while, before landing his current job in the offices of Teen!Witch. Thanks, dad.
Likes: His family, children, butterbeer, cheeseburgers and fries, books, libraries, reading, people-watching, the smell of clean clothes, sleeping in, the beach, astronomy, blazers, chocolate frogs, and the occasional muggle comic book or two.
