General Appearance: Kenning is known for his little side smirk that makes the general public either want to punch him in the face to erase it, or worship him. Most of the time, though, it’s the former with a little bit of the latter mixed in there. His facial expressions range from bored, to sarcastic or mocking amusement, annoyance or just plain stoic. 

He is rather slim; lanky but slightly muscular (he likes to swim but his build is nowhere near athletic). On his fairly big, slightly coarse and usually ink-stained hands sit fingers with destroyed nails due to his habit of biting them when bored, which is often. Etienne is fond of dull and dark colors, though he’s known to go for bright and attention-catchy colors once in a while. Generally, he favours muggle clothing and wears simple dark jeans, and a simple t-shirt. Robes? Yes, and they are usually simple, non-descript and dark. 

Personality: Etienne is ever bit of a prat. He’s irresponsible, hates hard-work, self-indulgent, spoiled, arrogant, lazy, but surprisingly spontaneous, and detests monotony. Coming from a considerably well-off muggle family, Kenning never had to work hard for anything—in fact, he didn’t have to work at all. Broomsticks (that he never used), cars (that he did use and crashed), muggle technology, clothing, trips to the Canary Islands and girls… it all came easily to him, for which he’s always been thankful, though one wouldn’t known by looking at his perpetually smug expression. He knows that some people had it rough, and that appreciating the little things (or pretty big ones) are pretty much a must. 

Kenning is rude and occasionally abrasive, though not because he lacks manners or charisma. He’s got plenty, as a matter of fact, and is ready to put them to good use if there’s something on it for him. If not, Etienne will just ignore you, or appear to be utterly bored by your mere presence. Smooth and charming when he wants to, Kenning learned from a very young age that having a silver tongue and a quick mind was something you either had or didn’t. Fortunately for him, he possessed both (thanks, dad), and he’s managed to sneak himself out of pretty sneaky situations in the past. 

With friends, Etienne is rather outgoing, open and even happy-go-lucky. With his family he’s grouchy, whiny, bratty, but heavily loyal. Yeah, yeah, he would go mad if someone locked him up in a room with his family and was forced to spent an entire day with them, but he loves them dearly and would do just about anything for them. Funny thing how you can love someone, but not really like them most of the time, no?

History - Family: A son of muggles, Etienne is a twin and was born to a talk show host and a plastic surgeon. Because his twin is a girl and every bit of a daddy’s girl, all the expectations hovered on Etienne, from very young age. Unfortunately, Kenning was more worried about how to spend a good time than to get good grades and stay out of trouble. Only in elementary school he went through a total of eight schools (one of them a boarding one). 

Mediocre grades or not, however, Etienne was accepted into Eton thanks to his father’s connections. Everyone was pleased, Etienne didn’t really care or not if he went to Eton, which was good because he figured that if he didn’t want to, he’d be forced to go anyway—it wasn’t like he had a say in the situation anyway. Soon enough, though, the Hogwarts acceptance letter arrived, announcing that him and Holland were both magical and were to attend to an equally magic school. Mr. Kenning very nearly had a heart-attack, and after going through a shock that lasted a totally of 71 hours (Etienne counted) in which he didn’t say a word. Mrs. Kenning, from her part, cried herself to sleep. They never outright said it, but Etienne always suspected his parents thought him and his sister mentally ill. Shoving it out of his mind, he made a point to study hard and earn the good grades he never had gotten before. 

Unfortunately, somewhere along the way of his fourth-fifth years, he decided to rebel again. He started to hang out with a questionable-looking crowd, and the detention cells pretty much became his second dormitory. During the Christmas Holidays of his last year at Hogwarts, Etienne pulled a stunt that ended with him and some of his friends in the hospital, and his father’s sports car destroyed. That’s when he received his ultimatum: He either quit hanging out with said friends, straighten up, get back on track or he’d get cut out from the family money. 

Family: Hanlin and Cordelia Kenning (the parents), his twin sister, Holland, his baby niece, Richard. Yes, that is her name. 

Pets: His old hamster, Chuck, passed away a few years ago, so he's been looking for a new one for some time now.

Likes: Hanging out with friends, partying, cars, traveling, sleeping, girls and food.
Dislikes: Heights, Quidditch, and having to get up before noon. And he has to do it every single day. Life is hard.
